Tigger update

I just spoke to my s i l on the phone. Tigger came home this afternoon.
He has special pate type food which must be watered down to a soup and pain
relief tablets to be crushed into his food once his pain relief injection
wears off (tomorrow)
He is managing to lap up the food and he seems quite hungry which is a good
sign, I think. His jaw is wired and he's lost all his teeth from the left
side of his face, most of which are baby teeth but possibly lost one
permanent canine. The vet says he will be "disfigured" but I wasn't able to
find out exactly how or quite what was meant.
He has to go back on Friday to be checked and the wires will come out after
a month. Poor lad will get the snip at the same time he has the wires out
to avoid two anaesthetics.
I was pleasantly surprised by the cost of it. I'd told my brother to expect
300 pounds plus for a Sunday evening emergency consultation and operation
with all the associated costs of surgical nurse coming in off duty,
anaesthetic and each item of equipment for your pet like drip sets, syringes
are all one use only and have to be paid for.
261 pounds. A bargain I call it, to save Charlotte's beloved boy.
